Celebrate Black Voices with Songfluencer
Music Start-up Songfluencer Announces RISING Program for Emerging Talent with Black Artist Initiative in Support of Black History Month

Toronto, ON – Known for its data-driven strategies to create viral music hits, today influencer marketing agency Songfluencer launches emerging artist program titled RISING. And, to celebrate Black History Month, they’re kicking off the launch with the RISING - Black Artist Initiative in partnership with global music and entertainment streaming platform, TIDAL. In Canada, the new initiative and Songfluencer's Canadian operations are headed up by Michael T. Fox.
Through RISING, two (2) artists will have the chance to receive a Songfluencer influencer campaign valued at $5,000 towards TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, have their music placed on the TIDAL Rising playlist, receive a mentorship session with an industry expert relevant to their needs and career level, and get one-on-one TikTok artist marketing training by the Songfluencer team. Total marketing value – over $7,500!
Says Songfluencer Co-founder & CEO Johnny Cloherty, “RISING is our way of giving back to the artist community, particularly to women in music, BIPOC, LGBTQ+& Latin artists. We want to make sure our service helps ALL artists, globally, across genre - win.”
The RISING program can potentially change the trajectory for the chosen artists. Exposure to viral musical content on TikTok and Instagram has been proven to increase consumer song searches on YouTube, Spotify, and voice devices (Alexa, Google Home, etc.), while driving direct click-throughs to streaming services, impacting the algorithms that power major playlists, and influencing radio programmers.
Founded in 2018, Songfluencer gained momentum using analytics to drive TikTok & social media marketing for thousands of campaigns. The digital marketing company’s sort after technology and training is used by labels like Universal Music, Atlantic Records, Epic Records, Warner Music & Interscope Records to name a few. Songfluencer has offices in Toronto, Nashville and New York.
Launched in 2015, TIDAL Rising introduces listeners to up-and-coming artists from around the globe. Artists like 21 Savage, Jessie Reyez and Roddy Ricch have been featured on TIDAL Rising playlists before topping the charts.
